Caldwell 106, popularly known as the 47 Tuc Cluster, is a star cluster (NGC 104) in Tucana — a family of stars bound by gravity. It appears as number 106 in the Caldwell catalogue, Sir Patrick Moore's 1995 list of 109 bright deep-sky objects for amateur astronomers. It spans roughly 31.8 arc-minutes on the sky. At about magnitude 4.1, it can be glimpsed with the unaided eye under dark skies.
